*AAUW National individual membership dues are $72; $69 is tax deductible as a charitable contribution, and $3 is not tax deductible because it supports the AAUW Action Fund’s section 501 (c)4 Lobby Corps and get-out-the-vote activities. AAUW student membership National dues are $18.81. $16.81 is tax deductible as a charitable contribution, and $2 is not tax deductible as noted above.

Interest Groups: We offer members a variety of social activities. Check all that interest you and the group chair will contact you.

Working Girls Book group meets monthly in the evening

Afternoon Book Group meets on the second Monday in the afternoon

Book Lovers and Page Turners Book Group meets on the fourth Monday in the afternoon

Cork & Fork meets bi-monthly for wine tasting & education and food

Great Decisions meets monthly to discuss issues facing the world. We use the Foreign Policy Association materials.

Walking Group–we join each other for a local walk 3-4 times per month, weather permitting. The walks are 3-5 miles long and of moderate difficulty.

Eligibility: I am a graduate holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate, or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution as stated.

Monthly Programs and Events: The branch sponsors a range of monthly programs, meetings and events throughout the year, each lasting 2-3 hours, some in the evening and some on weekend afternoons.
We also sponsor Libations & Conversations—A one-hour monthly meeting held at a restaurant or wine tasting room in the early evening, providing members a chance to chat and featuring short informative talks by guests or members.
Founded in 1969, the Amador Branch is involved in various community activities. Our annual fundraising activities generate financial support for scholarships for local women— upper division, graduate and re-entry—as well as AAUW Tech Trek scholarships for summer math-science camp for local junior high school girls .
