Celebrating Our Members
April 23, 2022

The Amador Branch has planned a fun and interesting program to celebrate ourselves–to welcome new members and to visit with ongoing members. We hope to have a big turnout to celebrate the fact that we can again meet in person and to celebrate our past, our present and our future.

Enjoy a dessert bar and beverages (Coffee, Tea and Wine) while we talk and get to know each other. We now have 9 new members this year so there are plenty of new faces with whom to get acquainted. We can also think and talk about moving the branch forward. Special recognition will be given to our new members, the lifeblood of any organization.

So please join us at 1pm on Saturday, April 23 at the Jackson View Clubhouse. (108 Nicolas Court, Jackson)

Guests welcome, so bring a friend you think may be a potential new member.

Welcome Back Membership Meeting
Our welcome back meeting is being hosted by our Leadership Committee. Small bites and beverages will be served. All members are invited and are urged to bring guests who might be future members.

Girls who attended Tech Trek this past summer will share their experiences with each other and us. This is always an inspiring and rewarding meeting. Join us for our first in-person event in over a year.

Additional Programs in Development

Tech Trekkers Meet and Greet
A panel discussion where the current class of Tech Trekkers have an opportunity to discuss their interests with former Tech Trekkers and gain information about the experience.  This is when prior years’ girls present their experiences to the ‘incoming class’ of TTers and their parents. New TTers and parents have an opportunity to ask questions and find out what to expect at camp.

Recognition of the 19th Amendment
We have had wonderful speakers at this event in the past. Since the celebration of the 19th Amendment (Women’s Suffrage) was interrupted in this 100th Anniversary year, we hope to be able to present an event honoring those who participated in this important milestone. We’re looking at a spring date. Details to follow.

Movie Night
Screening of a documentary or thought-provoking film focusing on issues related to our mission. Program is in development.

Project: Home Tour–
This program is on hiatus-
A major fundraising event described on page 3. This program is on hiatus.

Scholarship Awards Ceremony
Awarding of college and Tech Trek scholarships. Watch for details about date, time and place.

Science Saturday
This program is on hiatus-
This project focuses on STEAM activities for elementary school children and is currently under discussion.

Libations and Conversations: A series of short, small casual program meetings held at various locations around the county generally monthly. Usually held on different days each month from 5:30-6:30. Although the public is invited to all of our programs, this series of meetings provides a great opportunity to invite individuals who may be interested in becoming members to an intimate gathering.

Annual Meeting
Held in May or early June where the annual business of the branch is conducted, including approval of the next year’s budget, elections and other branch business.
