Why Should I Join AAUW?
The Amador County Branch helps people with like minds and interests connect and interact.
- We hold public programs and forums about topics of interest to the members and the community.
- There are several interest groups sponsored by the branch—book clubs, food and wine social groups, a foreign policy discussion group, etc.
- We hold short, small discussion/social monthly titled “Libations and Conversations.” It is the perfect event for women interested in finding out more about AAUW.
- We sponsor projects that support issues and interests affecting our community.
- We fundraise to provide scholarships to young women at a variety of levels.
By joining the Amador branch, you can serve in leadership roles, sponsor community action projects and lobby on priority issues like pay equity and Title IX reform.
